Agnosticism

Wikipedia: Agnosticism

In metaphysics agnosticism is the view that we simply do not or cannot know the nature of ultimate reality. While we can know some important things about the nature of physical reality through the powers of reason, science, sensation and common sense, we need not assume that “physical reality” corresponds to Total Reality, which remains an ineffable mystery.

Some agnostics lean toward materialism, physicalism and atheism while others lean toward various forms of panpsychism, panentheism, idealism, pantheism, gnosticism, esotericism, deism or theism.
